Former Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem is in Police custody at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters for further questioning.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime (ACP) Mesake Waqa said the questioning is in relation to an allegation of receiving a corrupt benefit.
He said they will release more details upon completion of the questioning phase.
