Former Fiji 7s and Police forward Suliano Volivoli is out of the McDonald’s Coral Coast Sevens after receiving a red card on day one of competition at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
Volivoli was red-carded for an illegal clean out during their 40-5 win over McDonald’s Saunaka.
Although opting not to comment on the ruling, Volivoli said the incident was unfortunate, yet he remains positive the defending champions will continue on into the knockout stages.
Police drew with Kwaiyata Yamacia 5-5 in their first game, and will take on Wardens in their final pool game today.
