Tubailagi zooms in on Black Fern 7s dream

New Zealand based flyer Louisa Tubailagi is confident her stint with the Seahawks at the McDonald’s Coral Coast Sevens will help her achieve the dream of playing for the World champion Black Fern 7s team.

Participating at her first sevens tournament on home soil, the Kadavu lass with maternal links in Serua said she was learning and loving every minute of it.

“It has been an awesome experience, I have learned so much from the last few days,” Tubailagi told FijiLive.

“It is a lot different from New Zealand, its high tempo stuff and it’s just been great.”

The former Saint Joseph Secondary School student said her focus is to return to New Zealand and work towards a spot in the Black Fern 7s.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to play in the Black Fern 7s.

“It’s not easy knowing the quality of players already in a side, but nothing is impossible.

Tubailagi added that although it was her first tournament, it won’t be the last.
