Fiji’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Naipote Tako Katonitabua visited the Fiji and Fijiana 7s team in Dubai earlier this week.
Katonitabua led a UAE Fijian diaspora delegation together with the Fiji Mission staff to the teams camp at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai.
Katonitabua addressed the gathering as well as wished the teams well on their campaign at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Dubai 7s.
“The year 2022 will never return and the task is now at hand for you to once again raise our flag to victory, that is why we are here in large numbers to support you and to wish you all the very best,” Katonitabua said during the visitation.
Also presents were former Fiji rugby representatives Setefano Cakau and Sisa Koyamaibole among many renowned Fijian residents.
