Jankowski completes OFC pro license

Fiji Football Association’s Technical Director, Timo Jankowski, recently completed the OFC Pro License course, marking a significant achievement in his coaching career.

This course, a first of its kind in the Oceania region was conducted at the AUT Millennium Institute in New Zealand.

Jankowski shared his excitement regarding the course, especially how it applies to his position.

“Especially because I work as a technical director, that was a very interesting part how you can connect all the different stakeholders around the game and also the importance to be aware of all the things that go around that have an influence and also becoming aware what the coach or I, as a technical director, what areas I can influence and whatnot,” he remarked.

Jankowski also mentioned the cultural learning aspect of the course.

“2 and a half years in Fiji so the biggest thing probably for me was yeah how to interact or like how to lead a culture and how to lead a totally different culture so yeah a lot of learnings have been going on,” he shared.

He appreciated the opportunity to network with coaches from New Zealand.

“It was also like super nice to connect with all the coaches from New Zealand because they’re leading the region to really see what’s the best practice in our region,” Jankowski added.
