Naitasiri and Nadroga registered impressive wins in the opening round of the Skipper Cup on Saturday.
The Highlanders thrashed Yasawa 50-0 while Nadroga proved too strong for Macuata and posted a 36-14 victory over the Northerners.
In other matches, Nadi edged Lautoka 28-22 while Tailevu overcame Namosi 18-17.
Meanwhile the match between champions Suva and newly promoted Ba was marred by a technicality as the westerners did not have proper match kit and took the field with a different sponsor’s name printed on their jersey.
The fixture was not declared a official fixture and the teams took the field at Bidesi Park to play a friendly, which Suva won 29-0.
Fiji Rugby Union is expected to release a statement regarding the uniform issue faced by Ba Rugby.
