Winger Tove to debut against Rebels

Former Nadroga Women’s rugby skipper Repeka Tove will debut on the right wing for the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women in their match against Melbourne Rebels on Saturday.

In the front row, Salanieta Nabuli retains her position as loosehead prop, alongside Keleni Marawa at hooker and Vika Matarugu at tighthead prop.

The experienced second-row duo of Asinate Serevi and Jade Coates will continue to fortify the pack.

The starting backrow remains unchanged, featuring Nunia Daunimoala at blindside flanker, Sulita Waisega at openside, and captain Karalaini Naisewa at number 8.

In the backs, Evivi Senikarivi resumes her role at halfback, partnering with Salanieta Kinita at flyhalf.

Adita Milinia and debutant Tove will operate on the wings, with the center partnership comprising Merewai Cumu and Vani Arei.

Atelaite Buna, last week’s Tonezzz Player of the Match, transitions from wing to fullback, completing the starting lineup.

The bench includes Litia Marama as reserve hooker, Anasimeci Korovata returning from concussion as reserve loosehead prop, and Tiana Robanakadavu rounding out the front row reserves.

Mereoni Nakesa and Teresia Tinanivalu will provide cover for the locks and back row, while Setaita Railumu and Merewalesi Rokouono offer backup in the halfback and flyhalf positions.

Luisa Tisolo will be the utility back covering the remaining backline positions.

Fijian Drua women take on Melbourne Rebels at 7.05pm.
