Drua women ready for semis

The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women are set to make history with their first ever home semifinal against the Western Force this Friday.

Head Coach Mosese Rauluni has refreshed the squad following last weekend’s clash with the Melbourne Rebels.

Notably, former captain Bitila Tawake rejoins the matchday 23 to provide additional strength to the front row.

The starting lineup sees Salanieta Nabuli maintaining her role as loosehead prop, with Keleni Marawa at hooker and Anasimeci Korovata returning as tighthead prop.

The lock positions will be held by Jade Coates and Asinate Serevi, with the backrow comprising Nunia Daunimoala, Sulita Waisega, and captain Karalaini Naisewa.

In the backs, Setaita Railumu will take the halfback position alongside flyhalf Jeniffer Ravutia.

The wings will feature Adita Milinia and Merewairita Neivosa, while the centers will see Merewalesi Rokouono stepping in for the injured Merewai Cumu, partnering with Vani Arei.

Atelaite Buna, a two-time Tonezzz Player of the Match, will continue her role at fullback.

Support from the bench includes Litia Marama as reserve hooker, Bitila Tawake as reserve loosehead prop, and Vika Matarugu completing the reserve front row at tighthead.

Mereoni Nakesa and Fulori Rotagavira will cover the middle and back rows, with Evivi Senikarivi and Salanieta Kinita providing backup at halfback and flyhalf, respectively.

Repeka Tove will also be ready to step in for the backline.

The match kicks off at 4:35pm on Friday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
