SSP Vocevoce to undertake studies in London

The Divisional Police Commander Southern (DPC/S) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Wate Vocevoce has been selected to undertake an International Leadership Programme at the prestigious College of Policing in London, England.

Through the support of the UK in the South Pacific, SP Vocevoce will join six senior police officers from across the Pacific in participating in the executive level programme aimed at further developing a critical understanding of contemporary leadership and management skills together with analytical tools.

With 28-years of service, SSP Vocevoce has served in various capacities as Inspector Operations, Head of School Operations at the Police Academy, Commanding Officer Police Mobile Force and Divisional Police Commander East.

SSP Vocevoce said he is honoured to have been identified and selected by the Acting Commissioner and looks forward to the three-week Training in Leadership and Management Skill.

“It’s an honour to have been selected and I will ensure that the training will benefit the organization as a whole, and I will be a good role model for my comrades who are also earmarked to undergo this same course upon my return, ” said SSP Vocevoce.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew said, “The training will enhance understanding and knowledge of leaders to effectively lead people under their Command.”

He said he is optimistic that SSP Vocevoce will utilize the opportunity well, towards achieving greater outputs that will benefit the Fiji Police Force through enhanced service delivery.

SSP Vocevoce departs Fiji today.
