Ba beats Nadi, climbs to third spot

Ba has moved up to the third spot in the Digicel Fiji Premier League after beating Nadi 2-0 in a tensed Round 7 encounter at Prince Charles Park today.

Lanky marksman Etonia Dogalau’s 17th minute goal separated the two teams in the first half.

Right-back Peceli Sukabula sealed victory for the Rooster Chicken sponsored Men in Black in the 89th minute with a well placed attempt.

There was tension at the conclusion of the fixture as some Nadi fans who were unhappy with decisions of the match officials attempted to enter the pitch, resulting in the officiating team being escorted out of the venue by Police officers.

With the win, Ba climbs to the third spot with 13 points and a better goal difference with Navua slipping to the fourth place.

Nadi on the other hand remains sixth with 10 points.
