Tavua remains on course in Senior League

Tavua remains unbeaten in the Digicel Senior League after the completion of first round matches in Viti Levu.

The Dr Diva Singh coached side has three wins from three appearances and defeated Lami in its most recent match over the weekend.

After a goalless first half, some tactical changes saw Junior Balbir Singh getting a brace and youngster Petaia Qauqau Jnr also registering his name on the score-sheet in the second half.

Malakai Tiwa

17-year-old Mavik Goundar had the chance to net the fourth but was denied by the wood-work.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Penaia Nagatalevu put on a Man of the Match display, setting up two goals and working timelessly to provide quality passes to the finishers while evergreen Malakai Tiwa ably led the team with his experience.
