IIFA awards moved to May in Abu Dhabi

The 23rd edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards has been rescheduled to take place on 26 and 27 of May on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The IIFA award was previously scheduled to take place in February this year but IIFA announced the news on their Instagram page to postpone the event.

IIFA 2023 will be a grand celebration of the best talent in Indian cinema, bringing together global dignitaries, international media, fans, and film enthusiasts worldwide to present a greater opportunity for long-term impact in tourism, business and trade, and the film production business for the destination.

64 nominations in 12 categories of the IIFA awards were announced in December last year.

Actress Alia Bhatt is leading the nomination with her top movies such as “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, “Brahmastra” and Kiara Advani’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” which has earned maximum nominations for the prestigious award show.

Filmmaker Karan Johar and director-choreographer Farah Khan will host IIFA Rocks 2023.

The event will witness musical performances by Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Nucleya and Sunidhi Chauhan.
