Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s centre Merewai Cumu will miss the Super W home semifinal clash on Friday following a concussion sustained during yesterday’s match against the Melbourne Rebels.
The game saw a pause at the 65th minute when Cumu was involved in a heavy collision and she had to be stretchered off the field, subsequently receiving a red card.
The Fijian Drua has issued a statement confirming that Cumu was hospitalized overnight for treatment but is expected to be discharged soon.
However, due to her injury, Cumu will not be available for the semifinal.
The Fijian Drua will host the first semifinal at the HFC Bank against the Western Force at 4.35pm.
