The Ministry of Finance is extending time till next Thursday, 26 January, for parents to apply for the $200 Back to School Support Initiative.
As announced earlier, applications for guardians will now open from next week Monday 23 January and close at 5pm on Thursday 26 January.
The Ministry of Finance has, however, received a total of 162,299 applications for the Government’s $200 Back to School Support Initiative.
These applications are now being assessed and payment will start from Wednesday 25 January.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance said they are also extending the application due date for parents to next week Thursday to give them more time to submit their applications.
Ministry of Finance has indicated that the payment for these applications will start from 1 February, 2023.
