A 74-year-old man was killed in an accident along Vishnu Deo Road in Nakasi yesterday afternoon.
Director Traffic Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana said the suspect, a 17-year-old student whilst driving at a high speed, went on to the wrong side of the road and bumped the victim.
SSP Divuana said the suspect had allegedly failed to stop, and later surrendered himself at the Nakasi Police Station.
The Director Traffic said a post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
