Fiji adds two more Gold to medal tally

Team Fiji remains in fifth spot on the Pacific Games medal tally but has added two more Gold medals.

Fiji currently has 12 gold, 16 silver and 17 bronze totalling 45 medals so far in the competition.

Va’a skipper Elenoa Vateitei and athletics star Yeshnil Karan snatched a gold each while Va’a also secured a bronze medal.

New Caledonia continues to lead the tally with 143 medals of which 63 is gold, 41 silver and 39 bronze.

Meanwhile, Fiji Pearls made a great start thumping the Solomon Islands 90-25 in the netball competition.

The Pearls will take on Samoa today.

The Fiji Kulas defeated New Caledonia 3-0 to book a spot in the final against defending gold champs Papua New Guinea on Friday.

The Fiji men’s football team will face the Solomon Islands at 4pm today in the semifinal.
