Labasa beats Nadi, claims second spot

Labasa has moved to the second spot in the Digicel Fiji Premier League after beating Nadi 1-0 in their Round 6 fixture at Subrail Park today.

The match which was scheduled to commence at 3.30pm kicked off at 4.15pm as Nadi’s flight was delayed, leaving the visitors with not much time to settle in and warm up for the encounter.

After a goal-less first half, the killer blow came towards the end of the match as youngster Salimone Ravonokula found the winner.

Extra Supermarket Labasa now has 11 points on the table while Nadi slips to third spot with 10 points.
