Labasa Women for OFC Champions League

Women’s Super League champions; Labasa will represent Fiji for the first time at the women’s Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League in Papua New Guinea in March.

Fiji Football Association President Rajesh Patel revealed this during a press conference at their headquarters in Vatuwaqa, Suva today.

“In Fiji FA there is no gender bias. There is equality for all when you play football and that’s how we progress in the sport. Please come and support your team.”

 “It will be the first time when the Labasa will be participating in the women’s OFC Champions League that will be played in PNG in from March 9 to 18.”

Meanwhile, the Arthur Simmons-coached Labasa side will play Digicel Inter District Champions Ba in a one-legged Pillay Garments Champions versus Champions match on the 12 of February at 1pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
