Ronaldo nets double in Riyadh loss

Portugal Captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice for Riyadh All-Stars XI’s in their 5-4 loss to Lionel Messi’s Paris St-Germain in a thrilling exhibition match today.

Messi scored the opening goal of the match after latching on to Neymar Junior’s pass in just two minutes.

Ronaldo leveled the score line from the penalty spot after he was floored by PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas’.

During a frantic end to the first half, PSG defender Juan Bernat was sent off while Junior missed a penalty but Marcos Aoás Corrêa also known as Marquinhos, put PSG ahead with their second goal.

But PSG’s joy was short relieved when Ronaldo showed the hunger and desire he possessed for the second goal reacting to convert his own header which rebounded off the post.

Both teams were tied at 2-all at the break.

Both Ronaldo and Messi were substituted after 60 minutes before Sergio Ramos put PSG 3-2 up, Saudi select defender Jang Hyun-Soo equalised and Kylian Mbappe score a penalty to make it 4-3.

PSG Substitute Hugo Ekitike scored the fifth goal for the side while Anderson Talisca got a late consolation for Riyadh.
