Rugby legends Waisale Serevi and David Campese will headline a team of Hong Kong Sevens ambassadors to engage with fans in and around rugby week this April.
They are invited as the event marks its 30th anniversary in the city.
Both of them were voted into the all-time tournament team by the fans in 2015.
Serevi first established his great play-making ability and cemented his “the little magician” sobriquet on his HK Sevens debut in 1989.
He won two Rugby World Cup Sevens tournaments hosted in Hong Kong in 1997 and 2005 and was finally introduced into the World Rugby Hall of Fame at the same grounds in 2013.
Campese thrilled the crowds here 12 times, helping to fuel Australia’s historic run during the 1980s, when they won four cups in seven years.
His famous goose step left fans in Hong Kong speechless and defenders confused worldwide.
The Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong 7s will take place at the Hong Kong Stadium from 5 to 7 April.
