Vodafone employee testifies in Kishore Kumar trial

A third prosecution witness in the case against terminated school teacher Kishore Kumar took the stand yesterday in the Suva Magistrates Court.

Saneel Nilesh Kumar, who works as a Liaison Officer for Vodafone Fiji, told the Court that a police warrant was issued against the accused.

Kumar told the Court that the number provided in the search warrant belonged to one Kishore Kumar, who used his voter card to register the mobile number.

When questioned by the Court, the accused did not dispute the matter and said that everyone knew that the number belonged to him because it had been publicised on social media.

The former school teacher is facing six counts of indecently annoying a person and one count of criminal intimidation.

It is alleged that he insulted the modesty of Lenora Qereqeretabua by posting live videos on his public Facebook page, known as ‘Kishore Kumar Publication’, claiming that Qereqeretabua is a porn star in Fiji.

The trial continues this morning.
