FijiFirst Leader, Voreqe Bainimarama has attacked People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka for trying to bring back the Great Council of Chiefs if they form the next Government.
Speaking at their campaign rally this afternoon, Bainimarama said Rabuka’s reason for bringing back the GCC is to advise the Government.
Speaking in the i-Taukei language, Bainimarama said then what is the point of having Permanent Secretaries, Directors, Senior Government officials if their advice is not taken.
“Why have another advisory body to Government?”
He said this will again bring about racial discrimination to (what he terms) as modern Fiji.
The Prime Minister also highlighted that he read in one of today dailies the discussion to release the 2000 coup conspirator and former businessman George Speight.
“Sitiveni Rabuka is now revealing himself,” Bainimarama claimed.
