Fuel issue affects Fiji’s flight to Funafuti

Fiji Airways is advising its customers to Funafuti that due to the unserviceability of the airport fuel truck in Funafuti, Tuvalu, the airline is forced to carry return fuel on all flights.

This will significantly reduce passengers and baggage capacity to the Island.

In a statement, the national carrier said that the Funafuti team is working diligently to resolve the matter as swiftly as possible and that the situation is beyond its control.

However, in the interim, Fiji Airways said it is taking proactive steps to manage the situation, assist the Funafuti authorities, and minimise further disruptions.

Fiji Airways is pleading with its affected passengers to remain patient and understanding as they navigate through the challenge.
