2022 look-back: Begg shined the brightest

Ba youngster Nabil Begg was unarguably the biggest shining star of the 2022 season.

The Sorokoba lad, who turned 18 during the World Cup qualifiers in Qatar earlier this year was the star for the Men in Black throughout the season.

He featured prominently for the Fiji U19 side and helped them qualify for FIFA U20 World Cup which will take place in Indonesia this year.

Begg ended the season on a high note by winning his first major title with the Men in Black after helping them win the Pacific Cup at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The former Kamil Muslim College student walked away with the Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards after netting five goals in the four-day tournament which featured teams from Fiji, Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America.
