Never forget the struggles: Jokhan

Never forget the struggles and the shoulders that you stood on and that has brought you this far,  Permanent Secretary of Education Anjeela Jokhan told students of Baulevu High School during their graduation yesterday.

Jokhan reminded the students that their achievements and progress significantly depends on the school, school leaders, teachers, parents, other family members and in many cases, their communities.

She said to remember the hardships and challenges that brought them this far.

“There will be many more mountains to climb and many more tough decisions to be made. Amidst all this, you must continue to remind yourself that you have come this far, and not to fall short now. Every time you fall, you pick yourself up and forge ahead,” she said.

She acknowledged the support of parents, guardians, teachers, head, teachers and stated that the graduation was a celebration of 13 years of their resilience and commitment towards their children’s education.

Jokhan also expressed her gratitude to the head of the school and teachers for their commitment, mentorship and guidance, which has enabled the students to forge ahead.
