Phone returned to Lal, investigation continues: Waqa

The Criminal Investigations Department has returned Opposition MP Ketan Lal’s mobile that was seized in March, with respect to an investigation into an alleged case of inciting through social media.

Speaking to FijiLive, Lal said he is thankful to the Police for returning his phone after seizing it as part of its investigation.

Lal said his phone was returned to him during the Parliament’s break session yesterday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police – Crime Mesake Waqa said the investigation is ongoing.
