Trio back for Fiji Pearls PG’s assault

Experienced trio Afa Rusivakula, Alesi Waqa, and Alisi Naqiri will be making a return to the Fiji Pearls team for the 17th Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands next month.

The three players will make a return from a long break as Netball Fiji has confirmed its roster scheduled from 19 November to 2nd December in Honiara.

The team is set to depart for the Solomon Islands on 25 November for their first game on 27 November.

The selection of the Fiji Pearls final squad took after the FijiAus Quad Series in Suva two weeks ago.

The Quad Series served as a valuable preparatory platform, enabling the extended Fiji Pearls squad to engage in high-level matches against top Australian teams, some of whose players participate in the prestigious Suncorp Super Netball Series.

The South Coast Blaze and Sunshine Coast Thunder also got the opportunity to travel to Fiji and immerse themselves in local culture, train with local teams and attend various netball clinics at primary schools around Suva.

Fiji Pearls: Alisi Naqiri, Afa Rusivakula, Anaseini Nauqe, Alesi Waqa Paul, Jimaima Kete, Kalesi Tawake, Kelera Nawai, Maliana Rusivakula, Unaisi Rauluni, Vakaoca Bolakoro, Naviniya Sivo, Reama Verekauta.

Non Travelling Reserves: Alisi Neisulu, Keleti Tikotani, Josephine Nailumu.
