We will deliver, says Rabuka

Newly elected Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has assured citizens of the country that his Government will deliver.

The veteran politician is confident the coalition with the National Federation Party and the Social Democratic Liberal Party will help bring about a lot of changes and stated that democracy works.

“I know we have a huge responsibility on our shoulders but we are determined and ready to deliver.”

“We appreciate what the previous Government has done for Fiji but there are things that could been done better and we will work on those to make Fiji more prosperous.”

He said he and his newly appointed cabinet will not rush to get into office and will allow the previous Ministers ample time to hold farewells and properly conduct the handovers.

“There’s no rush. We will all celebrate Christmas for now and will allow a smooth transition to previous Government so they can complete all the formalities properly before step in and do our job.”

“The task ahead will be difficult but together as a team, we should be able to achieve our goals as we are a united front and our coalition is ready to serve all Fijians to the best of their abilities,” he added.
