Fiji Rugby welcomes two new unions

The Fiji Rugby Football Union Trust Board (FRFUTB) today officially welcomed two new unions into the Rugby Vuvale community.

The inclusion of Kadavu and Taveuni in this year’s Vodafone Vanua Cup is set to bring fresh excitement to the competition.

Taveuni and Kadavu Rugby Unions arrive with solid player foundations, ready to elevate the level of play and fan engagement.

Fiji Rugby’s General Manager Operations and Player Development, Sale Sorovaki anticipates that their addition will offer a more dynamic and intense sporting experience for everyone involved.

Both Taveuni and Kadavu have shown their competitive edge in local 7s and 15s competitions, earning Fiji Rugby’s sanction and giving the rugby community a preview of the talent and enthusiasm these unions bring.

The Fiji Rugby Provincial Competition is scheduled to start at the end of February, with further details and the draw to be announced shortly.
