Suva will be strengthened with the return of two key players when they face Navua in Round 6 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League on Sunday.
Experienced midfielder Ravnesh Karan Singh and defender Ajesh Chand will be back this week after serving their one match suspension.
Also available will be top goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva who played his first match of the season in their 2-1 win over Nasinu last weekend.
Despite concerns about the team’s fitness following a three-week break and inconsistent training sessions, President Intiaz Khan has kept a positive outlook on their preparation.
“Our fitness level might be a bit down because of the break, but our full squad is back with senior players and we’ll be preparing accordingly,” he told FijiLive.
With Suva sitting at 5 points and Navua slightly ahead with 7 points, this game is crucial for both sides.
The whites are determined to leverage its experienced players’ return to secure a victory.
“We want to prove ourselves and we want our usual Suva supporters to come and hype the boys,” added Khan.
The Suva Whites are scheduled to face Navua at 3pm at the Fiji FA headquarters ground in Vatuwaqa.
