Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has conveyed his condolences to his Australian counterpart, Anthony Albanese after a random stabbing attack at Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney in the weekend.

Rabuka confirmed today that he reached out to Prime Minister Albanese upon hearing the sad news where six people were killed.

In his condolence message, Rabuka extended the Coalition Government and the people of Fiji’s deepest sympathy to the families of the victims.

“Australia is a member of our “Vuvale” and our thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones and those who are still being treated in medical facilities,” he highlighted.

“Fiji stands with you during this time and we offer our support to you and the people of Australia.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also confirmed that no Fijian was injured during the incident.
