A year of growth for T/Naitasiri: Mannu

As the dust settles on the past season, Tailevu Naitasiri head coach Priyant Mannu, reflects on a year of growth and looks forward with hope to the next.

With the transfer window looming, Mannu’s central objective is for his squad to remain intact for the 2024 season.

“It was a good learning experience,” Mannu admitted, having stepped up as head coach after Nigel Khan’s mid-season departure.

“It was a big step for me. We have a young squad that’s eager to learn and improve.”

One of the team’s standout achievements this year was Jason Rokovucake’s selection for the U23 National team.

“That was a proud moment for me and the team,” Mannu shared with pride.

With his sights set on the future, he hopes to see more of his players donning the national colors next year.

Maintaining team cohesion is Mannu’s top priority as he encourages his players to resist the allure of transfers.

“I hope that the boys stay together, so that the full squad can coordinate well together,”

“I know teams can easily break and we are not well off like the other teams, but still, players need to have a strong mindset to stay together as a team,” he said.
