NZ, Tahiti progress to U17 quarterfinals

New Zealand  has booked its spot in the quarterfinals of the OFC U17 Championship after rattling American Samoa 11-0 at the Fiji FA Academy grounds in Ba today.

The Kiwis top Group B with six maximum points as they earlier defeated New Caledonia 3-2 in their first match.

In another match played tonight at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, Tahiti thrashed Cook Islands 6-0 to top Group C and also progress to the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile Fiji will face Tonga in its second Group A match at 7pm on Wednesday.
